 Our community is called Juyuintsa and was founded in 1999 by Tseremp Timias. It is located in the Shiwiar territory of the Ecuadorian Amazon between the rivers Conambo and Bobonaza, and belongs to the parish Río Tigre, canton of Pastaza. The exact location is S002°07´03.0'' W076°11'58.5'' (click here to view in Google Maps). It is only possible to enter by air in a flight lasting 1 hour and 20 minutes from the city of Puyo.

 In our community Juyuintsa we live 12 families and we are a total of 70 persons. In our community we have a school and a Malaria laboratory. We are able to contact the outside world by high frequency radio, and we also have an emergency radio. Electricity still hasn't arrived to the community.

 In our community there is a leader whom is elected every year. At the moment our leader is Guirar.

 Nuestra comunidad se llama Juyuintsa y se fundó en 1999 por Tseremp Timias. Se encuentra localizada en el territorio Shiwiar de la Amazonía ecuatoriana entre los ríos Conambo y Bobonaza, y pertenece a la parroquia Río Tigre, Cantón Pastaza. La locación exacta es S002°07´03.0'' W076°11'58.5'' (haga click aquí para ver en Google Maps). Sólo se puede entrar por medio de vía áerea, en un vuelo de 1 hora y 20 minutos de Puyo.

 En nuestra comunidad Juyuintsa vivimos 12 familias y somos 70 personas en total. En nuestra comunidad tenemos una escuela y un laboratorio de Malaria. Podemos contactar el mundo afuera por medio de una radio HF, y también tenemos una radio de emergencia. Todavía no ha llegado electricidad a la comunidad.

 Dentro de nuestra comunidad hay un líder que se elige cada año. Al momento nuestro líder es Guirar.
