My name is Chasem Francisco Timias Santi, I am 23 years old and I am Shiwiar. I live in a community that is called Juyuintsa and I have lived in the Shiwiar territory all my life.
I have worked for several different agencies of tourism for several years, but I had bad experiences, and therefore I wish to start up on my own. This is my first step on the way to realize this dream. I want to work for and help my commnity, Juyuintsa, and I will do this through ecotourism.
My community and I offer several oportunities and possibilites for the tourist, the volunteer, or any person who is interested in learning about the Shiwiar way of life in the Ecuadorian Amazon.

Yo soy Chasem Francisco Timias Santi, tengo 23 años y yo soy Shiwiar. Vivo en una comunidad que se llama Juyuintsa y he vivido en el territorio Shiwiar toda mi vida.

Yo he trabajado muchos años para diferentes agencias turísticas, pero tuve malas experiencias, y por eso quiero empezar mi propio trabajo. Éste es mi primer intento de realizar este sueño. Yo quiero trabajar y ayudar a mi propia comunidad, Juyuintsa, y voy a hacer ésto por el medio de ecoturismo.
Mi comunidad y yo podemos ofrecer oportunidades y posibilidades para turistas, voluntarios y voluntarias, o cualquiera otra persona que está interesado de conocer la vida Shiwiar en la Amazonía ecuatoriana.

I know Francisco very well. Iived with him, his family and the others from his community for 5 weeks. This was in 2011 when I travelled Ecuador.
I had an amazing time I still remember and think of to this day. In the most positive way imaginable. You can trust me when I say that if you want a true, genuine and authentic travel-experience with the indigenous people of the Ecuadorian rain forest, the Shiwiars will not disappint you. And if you want to go, ask Pancho, as he is known, arrange it for you.
